church and also for WVEL radio station, a Single’s Leader and lay minister.
She worked as a teacher’s aide in the Churches Christian School and she
served in the food pantry for many years. She was also a member of the
church choir performing solos, duets and in many church Musicals. Stephanie
trained under Lester Sumrall in South Bend, IN. and experience many signs,
wonders and miracles in her ministry. She taught Bible Studies
in her home for adults and teenagers, and was asked to do special singing
and speaking events in area churches and conferences.
She was offered a position at a Full Gospel
Church on staff as a
Counselor/Deliverance Minister, and a member of the Praise and Worship Team.
She lead a Foundations class and a program for alcoholics and drug addicts,
and attended Bible School while she also worked as a Secretary/Switchboard
operator for a Christian Counselor’s Office and for Intervarsity C
hristian
Fellowship, while raising two beautiful daughters. Throughout
the years she worked as the Church Secretary for several different churches
in the Peoria area and her former
husband and her had a Commercial Cleaning Business. The Full Gospel Church she worked in went from 35 to
nearly 350 in about three years. Stephanie and her youngest daughter
moved to Florida in 1989.
Today
Stephanie and her husband
Stephen work as missionaries for
Zoeller Motorsports Ministries
which they began in 1998, where they take the Word of God to racetracks all
over the country. Stephanie is the Praise and Worship
Leader for the services they perform each race weekend. She often
leads the prayers and occasionally needs to fill in for Stephen with preaching the service. Stephanie
began preaching shortly after the ministry began and continues to do singing
and speaking engagements throughout the Florida area. Occasionally she is asked
to sing the National Anthem before the start of the race. She is an ordained
deacon in her church and is a member of the Praise and Worship counsel.
She is also a certified Chaplain that helps to train other Chaplains.
She and her husband began taking children with Cancer to the
baseball
games nearly fourteen years ago, and turned that into an event where they
take the children with cancer and their families for a three day weekend at
the racetracks (paying all expenses for the families through year round fund
raising.) This last year they celebrated their 10th annual Kids Racing
for Life event with over 50 families in attendance.
Stephanie
also teaches the Kids Paddock, leads bible studies, counsels families, crews
and workers, sets up and fundraises for car rallies, auctions, raffles and
Kids Events. She has been called upon to fill the pulpit for several
ministers during their absence, from Baptist churches in Illinois to Methodist and non-denominational churches in
Florida.
She loves reading her bible and reading through their thousand book library
about the Lord. Her greatest joy in life is spending time with her
family and her 7 gorgeous grandchildren, ages 6 months to 14 years old.
She is also working on a book that is focused on her life in ministry, both
past and present which will feature the times she has been able to sit at
the feet of some of the world’s greatest preachers. She will also
include the times she has met and spent time with their friends, the famous
author and screen writer Tommy Tenney and his wife who is a famous music
composer and recording artist. Most
recent being this last Sunday when they were blessed to have lunch with
Tommy, Jeanie and their precious daughters. She hopes
the book will be finished next year.
